Filmmaker Ashley Fester was born in Edmonton, Alberta, majored in Film Studies & World Religion at Concordia University Montreal and moved to
Vancouver to acquire the skill-set to production coordinate, write, direct and produce. Fester’s first documentary, “Celluloid Horror”, features Kier-La Janisse, horror critic, enthusiast and founder of the international film festival, Cinemuerte, starring Udo Kier. Hitting the stage, Ashley co-directed “Spectre”, with actor/director Stefan Arngrim, a theatrical debut for both. Most recently, Ashley completed the short, dark drama, “The Last Bastard”, produced by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and Fester’s production company, Little One Pictures. The film was nominated for Best Short & Best Sound Design by the Alberta Media Production Industries Association and took home a ROSIE Award for Best Sound Design.
